  2. Parents will complete a registration packet provided by the school.  This must be completed by the deadline given at the time of registration.

YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN WAITLISTED:

YOU HAVE RECEIVED A DENIED NOTIFICATION:

YOU HAVE RECEIVED A NOT ELIGIBLE LETTER

Your child has been waitlisted.  What's next?

As of March 15th all parents receive notifications regarding their child's application and status.  We must wait for notification from students who received acceptance letters and at that point, we will be able to determine the available seats in each grade level.

As needed, we will be contacting waitlisted students in the order of the randomized lottery list provided to us by the district office. Please note that in previous years, Air Base K-8 Center has accepted and enrolled students from its waitlist. It is probable that some students will be accepted from the waitlist prior to the start of the incoming school year of 2024-2025. Acceptance from the waitlist depends on your place in the waitlist order. In any case, you will be informed immediately of any change in your child's admission status.

We kindly request that you please refrain from contacting the school to ask about your child’s waitlist number. WE DO NOT HAVE WAITLIST NUMBERS. The spaces are automatically populated once a seat becomes available. Therefore, it is not necessary to contact the school and ask for the waitlist number.

It is important to remember that your child is among a large number of highly qualified applicants whom we would very much want to have at our school.  If space becomes available, we will contact you via the information you provided on your child’s application and inform you of the next steps.

If you applied and accepted another Magnet Program’s invitation, your decision will not impact your child’s position on the waiting list at this school.

Students applying to Air Base K-8 Center must meet the eligibility criteria.  If you have received a "Not Eligible" letter, it was determined your child did not meet the required criteria and was denied.  Please consider applying for the 2025-2026 school year when the applications are available from October 1, 2024 - January 15, 2025. You may refer to our contract/criteria for the requirements.
